What to do on your stay in Port Broughton
Go Fishing
• Catch some fish or even a crab or two from our local jetty or launch your boat at Port Broughton or Fishermans Bay
• Take a fishing Charter & catch a BIG one. Please see reception for more information

Relaxed Activities
• Stretch your legs with a self guided tour around Port Broughton. “Walk Around Port Broughton”
• Stroll along our beautiful jetty & watch the sun set or the pelicans glide past
• Have a picnic on the foreshore while the children play under the shade at the playground
• Utilise our local library located at the Port Broughton Area School. Relax with a book, tape, video or take advantage of free internet access
• Pamper yourself with a massage, manicure or polish at “Country Beauty” or get a new ‘do’“Exclusive Hair by Jane”
Sporting Activities
• Have a go at Sailing, boating or fishing. The Port Broughton Sailing Club offers a range of activities for Young & old
• Join in at the local Lawn Bowling club for social bowls on every Sunday
• Try a friendly game of tennis or Volley ball. Free Ball & racket hire available at reception
• Visit the local RSL Club for a game of snooker, cards or bingo or just have a coldie at the bar
• Hire a bike from reception & take a short ride around town or take the 5km trip to Fishermans Bay
Day Trips & Half Day Trips
• Visit the local Heritage Centre on Passat Drive. This hands-on centre contains many historical papers, photos, articles and a beautiful "Plangon" doll collection. Open by appointment & all holidays
• Head off for the day to the renowned Clare Valley & sample some wine
• Take a drive around the Copper Triangle, Home to Moonta, the Wallaroo Marina & the plentiful shopping at Kadina. Whilst in the area check out the Wheal Huges Copper mine.
• Take a short drive to Bute & see the Fauna Park, Bromeliad Nursery or checkout the local crafts at Gunner Bill’s Gallery
• Visit Clements Gap & read the History of the old shelter & wander around the Soldiers Memorial Church
• Visit one of the most complex smelting operations in the world at Port Pirie Smelters.
Food & Dining
• Taste the delights of local oysters which can be purchased fresh for a very reasonable price from Sunnyside Oysters
• Purchase crab meat & fresh fish from Grandax Takeaway on Bay Street or if you prefer, have them cook something for you from their extensive takeaway menu
• Takeaway can also be purchased at “Harris Beachfront Deli”, “The Central Deli” or “Tina & Strawbs” all located on Bay Street
• Loo king for a light snack or coffee & cake? Then checkout “Dock of the Bay” located opposite the Jetty
• If Alfresco is more your style then try “palate 2 Palette” on Bay Street. This restaurant includes an Art Gallery displaying works of established & emerging Australians
• Port Broughton has 2 Hotels both located on Bay Street. The Port Broughton Hotel & The Sunnyside Hotel. Both offer Schnitzel nights on Wednesdays & the Sunnyside also offers an extensive seniors menu
• Check out the Bakery just around the corner from the main street on Mackay street for fresh bakery products.
